SRM in ecosystem- Hardware/Cloud/HANA

Many organisations are passing through the phase where they are plethora of options with variety of the issues! The ecosystem is multi layered and the focus is shifting to non-disruption of the service rather than radical change (I often hear - thank you for not changing us when we were changing ourselves).

# SRM SUS or Ariba Supplier Network!

SRM SUS or Ariba Supplier Network (ASN). Recently SAP has not delivered 'wow' enhancements for SAP SUS and has been more focused on integrating with cloud. Ariba Supplier network provides the capability to connect with supplier and exchange the documents electronically. This collaboration helps organisations to achieve more automation.
Ariba network allows Purchase Order, Acknowledgement/ASN, Invoice/ Payment request as transactional interaction. There are out of box reports to monitor the process.
As far as the technical integration is concerned SAP provides the Ariba integration Addon. The communication happens through cXML,Idoc using middleware.
These are different approach for the Supplier collaboration the apple to apple comparison can not be made for SUS and Ariba. Apparently ASN is more clear choice for near future deployments.

SRM and connecting with supplier marketplace

SRM offers good option to connect over the network of the suppliers. SRM connected with Hubwoo- leverages the supplier network connectivity, supplier enablement and electronic automation (order/invoice) - marketplace advantages.
