Usually being on premise system customer have flexibility to tweak system to niche requirements. This results in number of objects being customised. For example, views, enhancements, forms, workflow, reports has some flavour of customisation.
So it's worth visiting customisations as these may develop some bugs/ issues similar to .standard SAP. Also, standard objects used by these changes might have changed/ improved, which mean there is scope for improvement for custom objects as well.
